FROM START TO FINISH: OUR PROCESS
At Keowee Pools, our process for creating custom pools and spas is designed to ensure every detail meets your vision and expectations. From the initial design consultation to the final touches, we guide you through each step with precision and care. Whether you’re building a luxury pool or a custom spa, our team of experts is committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship, ensuring your project runs smoothly and on time. Step 1: Design Consultation
We begin with an in-person meeting to discuss your options and survey the proposed site. During this visit, we capture photos and take precise measurements, which are transformed into 3D plans for your review. These detailed renderings help you visualize your pool or spa within your property. Before construction starts, we ensure every aspect of the project is finalized. If needed, minor adjustments can be made at the start of construction to guarantee everything aligns perfectly with your vision.
Step 2: Layout
We’ll carefully plot the size and exact placement of your pool. At this stage, the perimeter is outlined with paint, allowing you to visualize the pool’s footprint. Adjustments can still be made, and lines can be redrawn to ensure the layout meets your preferences.
Step 3: Excavation
With the design finalized, we begin the excavation process. Our team digs and shapes the pool area to your specifications, removing any stones, stumps, or clay. If needed, we bring in crushed stone to ensure a stable foundation for your pool.
Step 4: Plumbing
We expertly install the water supply system, including skimmers, return lines, overflow drains, in-pool top-up lines, and all other necessary piping to ensure your pool's design functions seamlessly.
Step 5: Structure
With the site prepped and plumbing in place, we install structural steel, grounding lines, and rebar, laying the foundation for your pool's strength and durability.
Step 6: Shotcrete
With the site fully prepped and reinforced, our ASA-certified crews professionally apply shotcrete at a minimum of 4000 psi, creating the solid foundation for your pool.
Step 7: Tile & Coping
The pool's edge is capped and prepared with mortar, ready for the hand-selected tile of your choice. Choose from a wide variety of stunning tile options that perfectly complement your PebbleTec finish.
Step 8: Deck Construction
Concrete forms, travertine, retaining walls, and decorative structures are installed around your pool according to the design, bringing the surrounding area to life.
Step 9: PebbleTec Surface Finishing
We apply a luxurious blend of white cement, limestone, marble, and semi-precious stones to your pool's surface. The finish transforms as water fills the pool, reflecting light and water depth beautifully.
Step 10: Fill with Water & Enjoy!
Once complete, we'll fill your pool, provide tips for adding salt, and guide you on easy maintenance. We can also help with additional enhancements like outdoor kitchens, fire pits, putting greens, or dining gazebos.
